Our room was spacious with big long windows. Nice bathrobes. Very modern hotel.
Changed our two night booking to one as the advertised terrace on which we wanted to view and photograph the castle was being used for a function, so we could not avail of that which was really disappointing. The tv was set at a low volume and as it was a hot night we had windows open as there was no air conditioning, then the noise from outside made it difficult to hear tv. Only 6 or 7 channels anyway. Hated having to walk past drunk party goers on our floor as we got out of lift. Please make sure you phone to see if this hotel has wedding booked before you decide to book. Bar tables and chairs dirty and worn. Had to wipe them down to sit there.
lack of easily available free wifi access
Large clean room, and a castle right across the street. A really quaint village setting, great!
The view from our room of the castle was fabulous! The hotel felt small and friendly even though it was probably quite large.
The music during breakfast - it was far too loud and not the sort of music that we would want during breakfast. I didn't really understand why it was necessary.
Location, modern decor etc.
The breakfast service was very poor and the dishes were dirty as if they had been hand washed breakfast staff not efficent or friendly. all other staff in the hotel were excellent reception bar etc.
The hotel setting was idyllic. The staff were courteos and friendly and happy to answer any questions.
The website advertises a swimming pool. This is not on the complex but in a different venue and was not open during theEaster holidays.
Lovely modern hotel. Very pleasing to the eye when you arrive. Lovely and clean. Rooms excellent, very spacious especially for family with teenagers, not a pullout bed in sight thankfully!!! Restaurant very nice, food excellent (great value on set menu), view of castle wall from here was so nice. Location perfect. Staff lovely.
Having to pay €3 for parking per night was very annoying. I would expect that a 4 star hotel would provide parking for residents even if they were using a public carpark. I would actually prefer if they hid the charge in the room cost because it was very irritating to be levied with this charge on top your bill. We also experienced a problem with a bad drain smell in our bathroom. We had to be moved to another room and unfortunately, after a nice long day out, the smell had built up in our second bathroom also and we had to be moved again. The staff were very helpful - I also learned that we were not the only guests to have had this problem. We experienced some smells in the dining area on both nights but it seemed to air off quickly enough so wasn't too bad. We spoke to reception again on leaving and they were going to look into the problem. I dont hold this against them, there was obviously a little issue raising its head and I'm sure it will be sorted out before our next visit, because we will definitely be back!!!!
How friendly the staff were, the service we received. The cleanliness of the hotel. And the food was excellent. I would highly recommend and would book this hotel again.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant. food was lovely. hotel was very nice inside. not alot to do in Trim itself, apart from the castle but is good base to explore.
had a very pleasant stay
It was in walking distance for things I wanted to see.
Excellent service. Staff were very accomadating. They even posted some belongings I left behind foc
Good Irish Breakfast. Modern hotel in countryside but still quite convenient for Dublin city. Very pleasant surroundings across from medieval castle of Trim.
Very clean, comfortably, spacious room had a very good veiw of the castle. Good eating facilities and choice of food.
Just stayed for one night celebrating my birthday. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The night view is spectacular.
Friendly staff, decent breakfast
Room over function room so was a little noisy
